Happy Birthday Charlotte and Emma!

Praise God!  John Hoemann and Ann Hoemann's babies have arrived!  Charlotte Beth Hoemann arrived at 2:15 AM (a healthy 6lb, 12 oz) and Emma Nicole Hoemann arrived via surgery at 2:44 AM (a robust 7 lbs).  The family is exhausted, but so happy!

(Ann says they look a little like John, but John said they acted squirrely like their mother... both have lots of brown hair and have chubby cheeks!)

Off to the hospital...

Doctor was in favor of going to the hospital today, due to a rise in Ann's blood pressure.

Babies tonight or tomorrow!!!

Say prayers for the medical staff, the excited and nervous parents, and the anxious grandparents!!

Baby (and Baby) News (as of 3/5/10)

The two parents and three grandparents are in Vicksburg, busy preparing for the arrival of the twins.

Ann has moved from the downstairs "bed rest zone" back to her normal bedroom, and John's parents have arrived to help with moving and baby prep work.  Ann's mom continues to be a support and blessing to the Hoemann family, too.

Today they all enjoyed a meal out and a little baby shopping.  They found some good deals on crib sheets and a few other details.

All of these details are very minor... but there is no big news on the labor front to report!  Ann continues to experience the discomfort of carrying full term twins, including back pain, swelling of the feet, and contractions.  However, at their doctor appointment on Thursday, the twins were very cozy inside and performed excellently on the non-stress test.  They are safe and healthy.  Some of the nurses predicted that there would be a delivery this weekend, but they weren't born today!

They are still without internet access in the home, but John is trying to remedy that problem by fixing their old college computers.  Ann looks forward to posting photos on facebook, as well as more photos on this website! With all the gifts they've received, they have a lot to show off.  And of course, the two most precious gifts will need to be photographed and shared with friends and family, too!!

Ann and John still covet your prayers for a safe delivery and the transition into parenthood.  Thank you for all the ways you have supported them during this pregnancy!

Update: February 28, 2011

On Monday, Ann had a procedure to remove the stitch that had been so helpful during this pregnancy.  Once it was removed, the doctor reminded her that it could be BABY (x2) TIME any time!

However, more than 24 hours later, there is no news on the labor front.

There is some other, unrelated news... their home was broken into, and therefore Ann will not have immediate access to her email, facebook, etc since their laptop was taken.  No one was at home during this time (how ironic... 7 months of constant bed rest and home time... then a few weeks of limited bed rest and now this unfortunate situation!).  Please pray for J and A that they will have their home back to normal and feel secure once they bring two new members into their home.

Facebook, email, and this blog will be updated via friends and family, so there may be a delay in reporting BABY NEWS (but we will try our best!).

They are still available via their phones.

Updated Pregnancy Profile

Here I am 36 weeks.  The girls are really starting to run out of room and making their mama pretty uncomfortable.

A rainbow of bibs, soft wash cloths, and bigger onesies from CD and JD.  How handy!

Now the girls have a safe place to nap downstairs.  Thanks JH and JH.

SV sent this activity gym.  We can't wait to watch them learn and have fun with it.

Tiny Mizzou socks from BH.  The girls are already true tigers.
Thank you also to BH and ZH for the generous gift of a gift card for the girls.
